Thursday Thoughts.
PATIENCE IS NOT THE ABILITY TO WAIT,
BUT THE ABLITY TO KEEP A GOOD ATITUDE
WHILE WAITING.
Believe it or not, our thoughts of ourselves can have a towering impact on how other people view us. More often than not, we bring our selves down to the lowest instead of thinking positive thoughts!
Today onwards, we need to have more positivity about our personality. Life is our story and it doesn’t last forever. Sometimes we wake up in a morning feeling fed up and just want to roll over and go back to bed, but instead, if we embrace every day and every moment, will we lead happier lives?
One way that we can be more positive, is by reminding ourselves of these five things every morning:
I am the best.
I can do it.
God is always with me.
I am a winner.
Today is my day.
These are particularly true when it comes to our studies. Here at St. Cuthbert’s our motto is to ‘Live life in all its fullness,’ and by telling ourselves these five things, and believing that they are true, we can really start to motivate and push ourselves to achieve this and be the best that we can be.
We are encouraged to be resilient, motivated and aspirational, and all of these things can be achieved if we have positive thoughts. We need to understand that “everything happens for a reason,” and be able to “live it, love it, learn from it and make your smile change the world but never let the world change your smile.”
So, instead of moaning about how tired you are; how difficult school is; how much “you can’t be bothered,” focus on how we can be the best versions of ourselves and be better ambassadors for our school and always think positive.
