We came together today to remember all of those who have given their lives in our honour. We remember the brave men and women who have given their lives for us, and we honour their families and friends. We think about current serving soldiers, veterans and their families, and we consider how we can support them through the British Legion.
The poppy is a symbol of hope and peace. It reminds us about that service and sacrifice of the men and women all over the world who have fought in wars so that we can keep our way of life. Although we cannot all be together today in person, we wear our poppies with pride and we commemorate all victims of war today.
