Mrs McDonagh and four of our fabulous Year 10's travelled to Burnley this week to take part in an 'Aiming Higher in RS Conference' at Blessed Trinity RC High School, along with several other schools from the North west. A panel of different faith representatives and theologians spent the day answering a variety of big questions posed by students, such as, 'Is the Bible accurate and relevant today?' and 'Is human life really sacred?' These questions were debated and discussed with though provoking results. Students then applied these discussions to writing their own evaluative responses. This experience was such a fantastic opportunity for our students to challenge, develop and deepen understanding on the role of religion in our modern world. Rhiannon, Libby, Amelia and Ollie were a fabulous representation of our school, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day.
