What's it all about?

We’re all about being active

Physical Education at St Cuthbert’s offers a competitive, exciting, and enjoyable environment in which students can excel. Students will experience a wide range of activities in lessons, such as Football, Rugby, Netball, Hockey, Gymnastics, Dance, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Handball, Rounders, Cricket, Athletics and Fitness.

Students are able to demonstrate their talents by taking part in our annual Dance Festival or becoming a member of a school team, but above all else learn how to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Extra-curricular teams successfully represent the school at local and national level with teams reaching and winning national finals in rugby and cheerleading. Within lessons students will also learn vital leadership skills enabling them to lead a warm-up and other parts of a session. Peer and self-assessment will be an integral part of every lesson to ensure students know and are able to improve.
