"In 2016, outcomes for pupils in Year 11 were much improved on recent years. Pupils made better progress across a range of subjects, including English and mathematics. The achievement of pupils in English was significantly better than in the previous year." Ofsted, September 2016

At St Cuthbert's we have created an atmosphere of success and shared celebration of achievement.  Students of all abilities make good progress because expectations are high.  The most able students thrive as a result of rigorous academic standards and flexible approaches to learning.

Our students finish Year 11 equipped with a range of appropriate qualifications, skills and attributes to enable them to pursue their chosen path into further education or employment with training.

"Destination information for pupils leaving Year 11 shows that pupils are being well prepared to move into further education, training or employment. The strategic leadership of careers education, information, advice and guidance is very effective." Ofsted, September 2016
