We are so proud of our young fundraisers

19 April 2016

At St Cuthbert's we pride ourselves on the efforts our young people always give to fundraising for various good causes.

Pictured here are Matthew Lee and his Yr11 classmates who raised money in support of Alder Hey Children's Hospital. As we all know Matthew has fought a tough battle with Leukaemia this academic year and he was treated at Alder Hey. His classmates wanted to show their support for the hospital and have raised £500 from various bake sales and fun run events.

A number of students across St Cuthbert's came together last term to fundraise and collect donations for Jessica's family.  A total of £88.75 was raised by Stevie Seddon and A J Meadows 7EV, Kaitlyn O'Donnell 7LM and Abbie Dickson 7LI.

On Saturday, Caseylea Heath 9RKY and Olivia Bamber 9NJ organised a sponsored walk in memory of Jessica and all monies raised will be donated to her family.

In addition, Form 7EV (Hope House) have raised £50.00 for our Cafod Lent appeal, which this year will be matched by the Government.

At Christmas, the Form collected jointly and used the collections to fill 10 beautiful shoe boxes for the Shoe Box Appeal.
