Students go bananas for pre-exam revisions sessions.

09 June 2016

Students from Year 11 have munched their way through a staggering 80kg of bananas in the run up to their GCSE exams.

The young people have benefited from the healthy snacks and drinks at the revision sessions run by their teachers before each exam during this month’s exams.

Across a range of GCSE subjects the bananas and bottled water have helped maintain energy levels and concentration as well producing stress-relieving serotonin – the happy-mood brain neurotransmitter.

Headteacher, Mrs Catherine Twist said “The students are now more than half-way through the exam season and are looking forward to the fruits of their labour when they receive their results in August”

Jess Maudsley Ryan Owen, and Chanel Pilkington (pictured) commented “Our teachers always go that extra mile to make sure we’re in the best possible place mentally and physically before each of our exams.

The school is holding a week-long Summer Health Festival week commencing 13th June 2016, more details here.
