Play your part for a better internet

09 February 2016

Since the launch of our brand new website last year and with it the launch of our social media feeds we're very aware that as well as bringing our community together in a really positive way, the internet can sometimes be used inappropriately by some people.

Safer Internet Day is an annual event which this year, will be celebrated around the world on Tuesday, 9th February. The aim of Safer Internet Day is to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people across the world.

2016 will be the 13th edition of the event and the call to action is  “Play your part for a better internet”.

Last year, 100 countries worldwide, including all 28 countries of the European Union, celebrated Safer Internet Day (SID).
