How long have you worked at St Cuthbert's?

Nearly 10 years

Can you share a favourite memory about St Cuthbert's?

That’s a really difficult question: there have been so many cherished memories of my time here. If I had to pick one, it would be my class taking part in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Festival of Julius Caesar—our students were amazing, talented and an inspiration to others. They were a credit to our school and their families.

What made you go into teaching/working in a supporting role in school?

I first worked as a customer service manager for a bank ,but after working closely with my children’s schools I became deeply interested in education. My passion for English Literature and Shakespeare made English teaching an easy choice. I love sharing my subject with students. Every day is different and working with young people is exciting and rewarding.

What is the best bit of advice you can give to your students?

If you believe in yourself—you ‘can’ and ‘will’ do it!
