How long have you worked at St Cuthbert's?
Can you share a favourite memory about St Cuthbert's?
Break and lunchtime duties where I get to chat with the students and find out their ideas for making our school environment an even better place. Whether that be new goalposts for the astro or decorating the litter bins with eyes and eyelashes to encourage more people to use them!
What made you go into teaching/working in a supporting role in school?
I wanted a role that motivated and challenged me as well as allowed me to be part of team that hopefully makes a difference to young people's lives. It's a varied role that brings together of the skills and knowledge I'd built up throughout my working career.
What is the best bit of advice you can give to your students?
Work hard, be nice.
What do you enjoy most about working at St Cuthbert's?
I tell people that it's the best job in St Helens and I mean it. Working together to use the resources available to us to deliver the best educational opportunities and learning environment for our students is a real privilege. It's a challenging and pressurised job but I enjoy working in a culture that supports continuous improvement and innovation.
