On Tuesday, 28th March 2017. Cowley Sixth Form is holding their annual Cowley Honours Programme Evening. 

The evening is for Year 11 students who are expected to achieve 4 or more grade As in their GCSE’s and who aspire to achieve a place at a competitive university. Their parents/carers are welcome too. The evening offers students and their parents the opportunity to find out about the features and benefits of this programme.

Date: Tuesday, 28th March

Time: 6.00 - 7.00pm

Location: Cowley Sixth Form

Event is for: Year 11 students who are expected to achieve 4 Grade As at GCSE (level 7-9 on the new GCSE grading system), this may include 1 Distinction at BTEC.

Who is invited: Year 11 students and their parents/carers

What next? There is no need to book, simply turn up on the evening

 

FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF THE COWLEY HONOURS PROGRAMME

  • The study of 5 AS/BTEC subjects
  • A visit to Cambridge University, which includes an overnight stay
  • A visit to at least one of the following Russell Group Universities: University of Sheffield, University of Leeds, University of York
  • A personal mentor
  • A basic language course in Mandarin Chinese
  • A programme of personal support to include UCAS applications, personal statements and interview techniques/public speaking
  • An opportunity to complete the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
  • Personal guidance on applications for the most demanding university courses, including: Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science
