Today is Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday. It commemorates the foot washing (Maundy) and the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles.

Maundy Thursday initiates the Easter Triduum, the period which commemorates the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus; this period includes Good Friday, Holy Saturday and ends on the evening of Easter.
#StCuthBEST #WeAreStayingInTouch #maundythursday #holythursday2020 Today is Palm Sunday, also called Passion Sunday, the first day of Holy Week and the Sunday before Easter, commemorating Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
#StCuthBEST #palmsunday #holyweek2020 #holyweek More eye protection was donated by our Science department this morning. Over 200 pairs were collected this morning from school by a hospital consultant and they will going to Whiston Hospital.

#StCuthBEST #WeAreTheFuture #WeAreStayingInTouch #thankyounhs #thankyounhsstaff Remember our school Science goggles that we donated last week? Here they are being cleaned, bagged and prepped ready to be sent out across the Manchester Foundation Trust.
We will keep you updated as to where they are distributed to. Thank you to all the NHS who continue to be on the frontline every day to help and protect us.
#StCuthBEST #clapforourcarers #thankyounhs #thankyounhsstaff A massive shout out to Saul D in Year 11 who has secured a place at LIPA, starting in September.

This is a huge achievement for someone who didn’t start playing an instrument until he started St Cuthbert’s in Year 7.
Another surprise was that although everyone thought he would audition on piano, as it’s thought to be his best instrument, Saul decided to audition on the drums. Swipe to see him in action ➡️ Good luck Saul, you truly deserve every success.
#StCuthBEST #WeAreTheFuture Our Spanish Department are everything feel-good today.
From 10am Mrs Barrett will be looking through some of the fantastic work sent in from Years 8 and 9 and Miss Smith will be doing the same for Years 7 and 10 at 11am, live on their Instagram @stcuthbertsespanol
Then later today at 12pm, they will both be co-hosting a game of Kahoot.
We want this to be the biggest live yet so why not get all the family involved? You’ll need two screens, one for the Instagram live and the other for the game of Kahoot.
We’ll see you there! #StCuthBEST #WeAreTheFuture #feelgoodfriday #stayhome #staysafe
